Sleepless

Somehow it has been a tiring week to me. There were nights that I couldn't really sleep & suffered from headache in the morning. However I managed to come to work & didn't take emergency leaves. So I was really looking forward for the weekend to have a rest. But being a mom to a baby is a full-time job. 24/7, that's it. No annual leave, at least for me. It's ok, I love this job ;-).


Alahai budak kecik ni... sian dia tau. Malam tadi Honey asyik menangis je, boleh dikatakan asal tido baru 1/2 jam, mesti terjaga & menangis. So yup, another sleepless night for me. That wasn't normal for Honey. Must be somethong wrong then. Tapi ye lah, budak kecik tak boleh bercakap. Menangis je lah. Ingatkan bila dah siang ok... tapi rupanya tak. The pic above was one of the attempts to make her sleep comfortably. Put her on our bed, set the aircond to 27°C so that the room temperature would be just nice & closed the door. Still she woke up like every 1/2 hour crying. But it was easier to soothe her & put her back to sleep. Dapatlah tidokan Honey for 2 hours. Kalau tak, 1/2 jam pun susah. One thing I've learned today. My baby remains active even she gets fever but not when she doesn't get enough sleep. Hopefully tonight Honey will be ok but from my observation rite now it's not too promising. Another sleepless nite, maybe?

Honey, Honey, Honey

Tak cukup tido malam tadi sebab Honey asyik terjaga je. Tapi since ada baby ni kalau ikutkan mana pernah cukup tido. Ni lah asam garam orang beranak kecik kan.

Minggu ni aku bekalkan Honey 'sweet potato + broccoli' ke taska.


Keledek distim dulu 5 minit, kemudian baru campur brokoli & distim lagi untuk 5 minit. Dah stim, kisar sampai halus.

Minggu lepas beli electric dish dryer untuk botol susu & cutlery Honey. Actually bukan nak keringkan guna elektrik pun, cuma dish dryer kat kitchen cabinet tu macam tak muat.


Haih, now penuh table top dgn barang2 Honey je.

Last weekend Honey demam lagi. Nasib baik suhu tak tinggi sangat. Tapi budak, biasalah... demam pun maintain active.

This Is Serious!

Esok aku nak start diet *muka serius*. My mind interprets the sentence as "tomorrow I'm gonna start torturing myself". Based on my experience before, being on a diet is torturing indeed. Apa tak nya... kalori kene bersukat, tak boleh makan sesuka hati ikut sedap anak tekak. Tapi nak buat camna, perut ni dah macam pregnant 6 bulan. Orang ingatkan sebab pas bersalin. Hakikatnya simple aje... sebab aku kuat makan. Dari dulu memang kuat makan. Bezanya dulu muda sikit dari sekarang. Hence, higher metabolism.

Actually, lepas abis pantang, perut bolehlah dikatakan agak flat. Berat lebih 2kg je drp sebelum pregnant. Memang masa pantang aku kurang makan. Selera pun kurang cos baru nak adjust with my new role as a mother. Once dah get used to it, apa lagi selera makan pun naik lah macam biasa malah mencanak-canak.

Dah, tak mau cakap banyak. Esok start diet. Sungguh.

Sedut gas...

Ini adalah kejadian pada Sabtu lepas, 14/4. Kesian Honey, kecik2 lagi dah kene sedut gas. Nak buat camna, lagi kesian tengok Honey batuk berkahak. Kadang2 sampai muntah.


Sebelum Honey diberi sedut gas, nurse bagitau jangan panik kalau Honey menangis. The process might be uncomfortable but not painful. Tapi Honey ok, tak nangis pun.

FB Status Update

Rite now actually I feel so tired. Pukul 3:30 kelam kabut kuar ofis untuk hantar Honey ke klinik untuk 6-months jab. The initial plan was to get the jab at a private clinic. Tapi rasa susah hati plak sebab skip the appointment today. Sebenarnya appointment pukul 8:00am. Alhamdulillah, sampai klinik pukul 4:00... 4:30 dah settle. Dari klinik terus ke Alamanda. Beli food container untuk Honey. Sempat pekena banana split & chicken wantan di Noodle^Station sambil bagi Honey susu. Ketika dalam perjalanan pulang ke rumah, boleh plak Honey mengamuk dalam carseat. Bagi mainan pun dia buat bolayan. Sambil memandu, sambil cuba menenangkan Honey. Bagi baby wipes barulah dia senyap sikit. Memang lately aku notice that Honey dah boring dgn mainan yg dia ada. She wants somethings new. Antaranya baby wipes. Memang nampak kat rumah macam dia aim je baby wipes tu tapi aku tak bagi lah sebab plastic baby wipes tu kan macam tajam sikit. Balik semula ke kisah dia mengamuk tadi... bila dah senyap dapat pegang baby wipes, mata pun kuyu & tertidur. Dah agak dah sebenarnya mengamuk nak tido. Macam lah tak boleh tido sendiri. Well what can we expect from a baby. Ikut suka dia je nak mengamuk. Sampai rumah, masukkan dalam buaian, sambung tido. Sempat lah aku membasuh apa yang patut di dapur. Tak sempat nak baring, Honey dah bangun. So melayan dia je lah. Bagi makan tak mau. Rupa2nya nak susu lagi sedangkan baru 2 jam yang lalu menyusu. Ingatkan pas menyusu, akan tido, tapi tak pun. Mulut bising macam ada yang dia tak puas hati. Takpe lah, layan kan aje asal tak menangis. Pukul 8pm baru JD sampai rumah. It was such a relief. Baru lah boleh berbaring di sofa. Pukul 8:45 cuba lagi bagi Honey makan. Hmm makan sikit aje. Haihhh langsung tak motivate Mama nak masak lah Honey ni. So esok buat pertama kalinya aku bekalkan Honey dengan baby cereal je ke taska. Takde mood nak masak bubur nasi. Ntah2 Honey pun dah boring tiap2 hari makan bubur nasi. Aku plan next week nak try bagi Honey millet plak. Ok lah, kata penat tadi kan. I should go to bed now. Hehee badan penat takpe, janji hati senang tengok anak sihat. Actually I just read about a toddler yang jatuh kat rumah pengasuh which is in critical condition rite now. Dah tau about this toddler from my colleague's FB post a few days before. As a parent, such news memang akan buat aku susah hati. Hanya mampu berdoa semoga Allah pelihara keselamatan & kesejahteraan anak2 kita...

6 Bulan

Rabu lalu, Honey genap 6 bulan. Maknanya dah setengah tahun Honey dilahirkan & become (important) part of my life. Nowadays, everything is about her. Sampai sekarang masih takde nafsu nak beli baju sendiri. Baju Honey tak payah cakap lah... I have to promise to myself that I'll stop buying Honey's clothes. At least until Honey turns 9 months. Ermmm not sure whether I can keep the promise or not.

It had been kinda a hectic & tiring week for me. Honey & JD selsema on weekend. Then on Monday it was my turn to catch a cold. Honey plak start batuk berkahak. Yesterday she got a fever. Fortunately not a very high one. But masalah batuk berkahak tu really worries me. Kalau hingus, boleh juga disedut, tapi I dont know how to get ride the phlegm instead of just giving her medicine. Last nite I could see an improvement where Honey slept more soundly than the nite before.

11/4 was a public holiday. So boleh rilek dengan Honey di rumah.


Esoknya 12/4, Honey supposed get the 6-months jab, tapi sebab demam terpaksa cancel.


Muka budak demam bangun pagi...
Honey has developed separation anxiety. Kerap merengek apabila ditinggalkan seorang diri which make it harder for me to do house chores especially in the kitchen. I know it's time to tag her along to the kitchen.

Honey's 1st (semi) solid food

Ehem. Guess what? Honey started weaning yesterday. Initially I planned to start feeding Honey with a semi solid food this weekend. However yesterday somehow I felt strong urge to start. Sedangkan baru prepare barang je. Tak basuh pun lagi. Bahan mentah pun belum beli. Tapi sebab semangat meluap-luap, sampai je rumah pas balik keje semalam, sediakan apa yang patut sambil melayan Honey.

~6pm, tiba masa untuk bagi Honey makan... frankly it wasnt as easy as I thought it is. Honey macam tak pandai swallow the food. Berjaya suapkan sikit je sebelum Honey menangis & kene bagi susu. Frust gak, at the same time glad that I've started earlier than 6 months.

Biasanya ~7pm, Honey will fall asleep. Tapi semalam tak pulak. So apa lagi, ~8pm, cuba lagi bagi Honey makan. Kali ni berjaya. Yay! Rupanya kene ada teknik nak suapkan Honey.

Cer teka Honey makan apa? Honey makan carrot puree! Simple je. Yang penting freshly homemade & berkhasiat ;-).


Tak sabar nak balik rumah, nak bagi Honey makan. Makan apa? Makan lobak lagi lah. From what I've read, we should feed our baby yang baru nak belajar makan the same food for ~4 days. Nanti Jumaat/Sabtu, baru kita tukar menu ya Honey. Eh, lobak pun sedap apa.

It's about time to wean my baby!

In less than 2 weeks Honey will turn 6 (months). Maknanya masa untuk bagi Honey makan. I'm excited to see her respond/reaction.
