More baby stuff...

Went to KL Convention Center today for another expo of motherhood.


Sejak ada baby ni, I hv to say tht this is my favorite expo & it's hard to skip it. Mesti nak pergi. This time I had prepared a list & targeted a few things such as Bumbo seat, play mat, soft books & puree container.

The result...


Yes, more baby stuff & I got almost everything in the list except for the soft books & puree container. Besides, I bought picnic mat & common stuff for babies like antibacterial wipes, teats etc. Play mat beli yg murah aje, memadai untuk Honey berguling.

I didnt find puree container, but I found an interesting food feeder for babies.

Aqiqah Honey: Kambing

Pada hari Sabtu yg lalu, kenduri aqiqah Honey telah diadakn di kediaman kami. {Intro yg skema.}


Honey on her aqiqah day. Comel kan? :-D
Kambing aqiqah diuruskan oleh pihak katering. Tak tengok pun kambing disembelih. Beberapa hari sebelum kambing disembelih, ada orang katering telefon untuk akad or something like that. Masa tu aku tgh sidai baju so I just passed the mobile phone to JD & continued hanging clothes.

Harga kambing bergantung kepada cara masakan. Kalau nak golek, harga sekor kambing RM1k - RM1.2k. Asalnya memang nak buat kambing golek, but the caterer told me that kalau kambing golek hanya ckup utk 50 - 60 org makan sahaja. There was a case, sekor kambing golek dihabiskan oleh org2 marhaban sahaja. Tak sempat tetamu lain nak merasa.

So, I decided to order kari kambing. RM850 sekor. Lupa nak tangkap gambar kari kambing yang dihidangkan. Nasib baik pihak katering tak lupa nak tangkap gambar kambing yang bakal dimasak kari untuk majlis aqiqah Honey.


Kurus je kambingnya tapi alhamdulillah, cukup utk semua tetamu yg hadir. Tak sangka, ramai yg puji kari kambing tu sedap. Memang lauk kari kambing jadi star of the dish lah on that day.

A Year Ago

Yes, exactly a year ago I did the test... :-D

I had an instinct that I was pregnant a few days before but somehow kinda busy to buy the test kit. I did plan to surprise JD on his birthday with the good news but I had symposium on the day & as I said earlier I didnt have time to buy the test kit. However when I got home on Friday which was JD's birthday, it struck me that The Mall was just outside P.W.T.C where the symposium took place. I could just take a few minutes to go there & buy the test kit. Haih... camna lah boleh tak teringat.

I already made plan with Mas to watch movie at Alamanda on Sunday, 2 days after JD's birthday. Before watching the movie, I finally bought the test kit. I went home nearly 6pm. At 1st I thought it'd be better to wait until tomorrow since the 1st urine in the morning works the best for the test, rite... but then I thought if the result is +ve, I might have to wait until the evening to tell JD since we'd be busy preparing to go to work in the morning. Since there were 2 kits in the package, I guessed it was no harm to do the test on the evening & if the result was dissatisfying I could redo the test the next morning. Punya lah pesimis.

So when the clear +ve sign appeared I was kinda speechless. Fine the result was expected but I didnt expect to see a very clear vertical line that formed a perfect +ve sign just within a few seconds.

I put the kit in the box & gave it to JD as his birthday present. He shaked the box & thought there was a pen inside it. He opened the box, hold the kit & asked me what ist.
"Tengok lah betul2...", I replied.
"Awak pregnant?"
"YES!"

Alhamdulillah, now we have Honey :-).

Yesterday...

It was JD's birthday indeed but it wasnt the major event of the day.

Not So Wordless

Honey meniarap...


Tapi sejak semalam rasa makin kurang Honey meniarap. Dah tu plak nampak gayanya macam Honey dah terlupa skill nak terlentang balik lepas meniarap.

Milestone

Sedikit catatan sebelum aku beradu.

Alhamdulillah, hari ni aku berjaya melaksanakan satu projek DIY. Belum siap sepenuhnya sebab takde bahan. Tapi yg basic dah siap. Apa dia? Nak tengok? Tunggu next next week :-D.

Sabtu ni Honey akan genap 4 bulan. I'd like to tell the whole world tht my baby start rolling over. She can flip over from her back to her tummy & vise versa! Howver, she's still a beginner, havent master the skill. When she fails to do so, she'll cry. Futhermore for now she only rolls over to the left.

Seems like a baby matress is not suitable for her to practise her newfound skill due to the limited space. Thinking about her safety & comfort, this evening before picking her up, I went to Maidin to buy a toto for her. & yes, today's evening was the 1st time I saw her flipped from her tummy to her back. Banyak space, baru lah boleh berguling ya Honey.

Ok la, esok keje. So kene tido skrg. I'll update tmorow with a picture of Honey.

Kesinambungan drp 2 pos sebelum ini, akhirnya aku dah terima cenderahati yang telah ditempah petang tadi. Dihantar terus ke rumah. Phewww...

However, ada sedikit kesilapan percetakan pada kotak. Well, if I cant accept the mistake, they could reprint the boxes. But I guess enough is enough, I dont want to wait anymore. I might be a bit perfectionist. I want everything to be as I imagine & plan. But being a realist too, I know it's just a box. Nobody will keep it anyway. Luckily I dont suffer from OCD.

I got discount though to compensate the mistake. Not much but I dont care. The most important thing is now I have the doorgift with me. I've counted the boxes. Kurang 6 plak. I have asked him to post another 6 boxes. Hmm... if he ignores my request, I guess I'd settle with paper bags then. I dont like the idea but I wont let a small matter disturbs my mind.

So now I spend the time folding the boxes. I just folded 20 boxes but feel tired already. There are still a few things tht I hv to do in order to prepare the doorgift. I might hv to take a leave or leaves to settle it.

I guess I'll be busy these 2 weeks.

Good morning everybody!

Selamat Hari Maulidur-Rasul.

Me & Honey are lying on the bed in the guestroom right now, listening to selawat & nasyid play by the surau nearby.

It's comforting to hear those sounds especially for someone in my situation where I keep thinking about the doorgift problem & feeling anxious. Still I dont know what to do. Should I wait? Should I try placing order with other company? Should I start creating my DIY doorgift?

Maybe evrything will turn out well. Should I be that optimistic?

Ok lets try to forget the problem, enjoy the day & recite selawat & salams to our Prophet.

Susah hati...

That's how I feel rite now.

Ketika orang lain sedang happy bercuti panjang di hujung minggu, I spent the day at home, checked the handphone constantly, anxiously. Takde mood nak buat apa pun. Semuanya gara2 tempahan cenderahati yg ntah bila nak dapat.

Tempahan telah dibuat pada awal Januari yg lalu. Katanya akan dapat hujung bulan. Hujung bulan, aku pun tanya bila exactly nak dapat. Katanya hari Jumaat dia pos. Sabtu dapat lah.

Pada hari Sabtu, aku nampak posmen. Tapi tiada bungkusan yang dihantar. Lalu aku sms lagi. Katanya, pekerja telah membuat kesilapan mencetak tarikh. Sedangkan memang betul tarikh tu kerana aku yang minta tukar. Hari Ahad aku sms lagi bertanyakan status tempahan. Dia meminta maaf di atas kesilapan dan katanya akan pos hari Selasa. Dia juga turut memberitahu yang dia out-station. Tapi tidak diberitahu pula di mana.

Hari Rabu aku sms untuk bertanya sudah dipos ke. Tiada jawapan. Panggilan juga tidak dijawab. Bersangka baik, mungkin dia out-station ke luar negera jadi tidak mahu menjawab sbrg panggilan atau sms krn kos yg tinggi. Sehingga lah hari Khamis malam baru sms aku dibalas memberitahu dia akan hantar sendiri pada hari Sabtu.

Pada petang Jumaat aku sms bertanyakan pukul berapa dia nak hantar. Tiada balasan sehingga lah ke saat ini, Sabtu 10:00 malam. Panggilan juga telah dibuat pada siang hari namun tidak dijawab.

Sigh. I dont know what to do rite now. This is the problem when the deal is done unprofessionally from the beginning. He doesnt want deposit & the payment can be made when the delivery is done which might sounds good to some people. But for me, I'm a serious customer & I dont mind to pay 1st which is normal for an online business. The communication is done via sms/phone call. No invoice whatsoever. However I never thought that it could turn out like this since his website is professionally designed & looks well established.

Now, time is running out. Only 2 weeks left before the event. I've searched online for different companies that can provide the same service. Usually the order must be placed at least 1 month before the event & much earlier to get a promo price. I'm also thinking on DIY. Sigh. Blank. Worried. Tq for spoiling my long weekend.
