MH370

2 weeks after MH370 went missing, last night our PM announced that the flight has ended in the southern Indian Ocean & there are no survivors. It's a sad news indeed.

These 2 weeks, I think more Malaysians become expert in aviation & more knowledge in Geography are gained. To be honest, I don't really follow all the news, or be more specific, the speculations regarding the missing of MH370. I prefer to just stick with the official news. However being a pessimist, I do doubt that we'll ever find the flight & my question is what if we'd never found it.

I guess now my question is answered. The official annoucement are made last night. Even there's no solid evidence that the flight had crashed in the ocean but this is the closure.

Al-Fatihah to all Muslim passengers and crews of flight MH370. May Allah give strength to all the family members for their lost.

PRU~13

Ok nak berkempen ni. Hehee tak lah, aku bukan lah ahli mana² parti & undi adalah rahsia ;-). Saje je nak bercakap pasal pilihan raya walaupun dah agak terlambat sebab cuma tinggal beberapa hari saje lagi. Takpe lah, better late than never kan.

Seriously, aku seronok tengok orang berkempen. Suka baca komen² di FB. Basically I can accept any comment, tak kisah lah dari pihak mana.

My flight to Italy will be at 10:30am. So tak sempat lah nak pergi mengundi. Lain lah kalau aku ni VIP, naik business class, tak payah nak beratur panjang² untuk check in. Lagi sedih kalau Isnin nanti cuti, hehee.

Boikot

Dulu, aku tak lah berminat sangat nak memboikot. For me, I didn't find that my role was significant enough to give impact. Until when I was in Jakarta early last month, aku terbaca satu blog bercerita pasal iklan yang telah diluluskan oleh US untuk dipaparkan di subway station, bas etc.

How come US boleh luluskan this kind of advertisment even just for 4 weeks?? From that day on, aku bertekad untuk boikot produk US. I whatsapped JD, told him that no more Shell after this. Siap tekad no more Coach, DKNY & Levi's. It just that, I myself despise them & I have lost interest to purchase their products.

Kalau dulu, I thought it might be difficult for us to understand since we were not that exposed to the outside world. But now where FB, blog & other social medias are powerful & has becoming part of our life, just hard to believe that there are still ignorant people out there especially among young generation.

Lucky for me, based on the list above it won't be hard for me to boycott. I'm not a coffee lover & I don't even find it cool to hang out at Starbucks & pretend like I enjoy the coffee. I used to be DKNY perfume & Loreal skin care user, but I didn't mind to switch to any other products & I did switch. The hardest one to boycott will be McD. Huhuu. But somehow, I didn't even know that they gave free breakfast last Monday.

On Wednesday morning, as usual menonton MHI ketika menyiapkan Honey. I like the idea of the show guest. One of the way to stop Israel is by giving pressure to US. Pengeluar2 minyak yang mostly as we know adalah negara2 Islam, menaikkan harga minyak yang dieksport ke US (since diorang tak eksport ke Israel). As we know, US penyokong kuat Israel (& depa tak kisah orang tau sebab tu lah iklan support Israel tu pun boleh diluluskan). Israel sendiri rasanya takkan seberani itu kalau takde geng yang kuat macam US. As for US plak, depa lah untung sebab boleh bekalkan senjata (just a theory but I believe it) & ekonomi tak tergugat pun sebab orang dok fokus on camna nak melumpuhkan ekonomi Israel dengan cara memboikot terutamanya McD. But it's time to stop questioning others. We should ask ourselves instead what are we going to do.

Apa pun let's not be judgemental when we see others at McD or Starbucks. For some of us, maybe dia tak boikot McD, tapi maybe banyak benda lain yang dia boikot begitu juga sebaliknya. Or maybe tak boikot langsung. As I said masing2 ada cara tersendiri.

Gencatan senjata dah dicapai. But still Palestine is not free. Keep praying for the safety of all our brothers & sisters k.

Yesterday's news on nation's future source of energy

Our first nuke plant by 2021

KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has approved the setting up of a nuclear power plant which is slated to start operations in 2021.

Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui said his ministry had been given the go-ahead by the Economic Council to start identifying suitable sites.

Declining to reveal the possible sites and the total power deliverable, Chin said the nuclear plant needed to be built in an area with high power demand.

Full of energy: Chin (second from left) admiring the Diamond Building, the future eight-storey office for Energy Commission located in Putrajaya, after launching the first Carbon Neutral Conference on Sustainable Building held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Tuesday. — Bernama

“Building of the first plant needs a lead time of at least 10 years. We need to look at the safety aspects, human resources and the location,” he told reporters after launching the first Carbon Neutral Conference on Sustainable Buildings in South-East Asia yesterday.

Chin said the International Atomic Energy Agency had the final say on whether the plant could be built.

“Technology know-how and providers may possibly come from either South Korea, China, France or Japan,” he added.

On the disposal of radioactive nuclear waste, he said the matter would be worked out with the technology provider at a later date.

Chin stressed that a nuclear plant was sorely needed to meet the country’s accelerating energy needs and ensured its energy security.

He pointed out that national energy demand topped out at 14,000 megawatts (MW) out of a maximum capacity of 23,000MW.

“We do not want a situation where we have to start buying our coal from foreign sources. Nuclear energy is the only viable option towards our long-term energy needs.

“Our energy mix is rather unhealthy. We are depending too much on coal and oil,” he said.

Chin stressed that despite nuclear energy’s astronomical start-up costs, it was more cost- and energy-efficient than dotting the country with coal-fired power plants.

“Our renewal energy sector is also very small. It has only a supplementary role,” he said.

On the political fallout from building a nuclear plant, Chin said the Government would be ready to explain it to the people on the need for one.

☞ Apasal skrg ni hari2 ada jer berita org meninggal kt Msia sbb H1N1 ni? Btw, kt sini klu ada symptom, instead of going to the hospital seeking for the treatment, we're advised to stay at home, call certain number & they'll come to check you.

Periksa oi minggu depan. Ko ingat sikit nak baca, nak kene hafal lg. Udah2 ler tu dok melangok, carik mood nak belajar... belajar ni mmg takkan ada mood. Ko sendiri kene start, mood tu takkan dtg sendiri. Jangan last minute, baru nak start, pastu menyesal. Ha, lebih kurang camni lah gayanya tiap2 hari since Isnin lepas aku dok bebel diri sendiri.

Ini lah rupa meja study aku. Biasanya aku end up study atas katil... haha.

Aku patut bersyukur. Aku hanya bergelut untuk menghadapi peperiksaan tp penduduk Palestin khasnya di Gaza bergelut utk survive. Bila lah agaknya dunia ni nak aman yer.

Aku bukanlah jenis yg amik tau sgt isu semasa ni. So, nak cerita lebih pun takde modal. Tp aku mmg ingat tarikh serangan rejim zionis ke atas Gaza 27hb Disember sbb hari tu hari ke-2 aku di Milan, Itali. Malam tu aku tgk ada demonstrasi kt Piazza Del Duomo. Sempat amik video. Kira ni lah pertama kali aku tgk demostrasi mcm ni secara live.

"Selamatkan Palestin!" Mungkin itu yg mereka laungkan ttp dlm bahasa Itali.

Spt biasa AS menyokong tindakan rejim zionis. Aku teringat salah satu novel by Sidney Sheldon. Perang ni membawa keuntungan kpd sesetgh pihak. Pihak ni amat berkuasa & gila. Gila tu aku tambah sebab hanya org yg tak waras yg sanggup biarkan peperangan berlaku & melihat kematian/kemusnahan. Wlupun ianya novel fiksyen, aku percaya teori tersebut. Sebab tu lah perang takkan tamat walaupun mereka mampu menamatkannya.

Walaupun aku pesimis, aku percaya utopia tidak mustahil. If only all of us could change for a better world & happiness for everyone. Oh yer, aku mungkin tergolong dlm kelompok kecil yg suka movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still". I really enjoyed watching it.

Yay, tinggal 3 hari utk diganti. Makanan pun dah siap dimasak. Seperti biasa, nasi goreng... hehee.

Takde mood nak masak sbnrnya sbb pagi tadi dpt reminder from hall manager berkenaan dgn kebersihan di rumah no 8 ini. Walaupun bukan aku yg buat kotor tp agak memalukan tinggal bersama dgn si pengotor & tentunya dituduh sekali. Tak tau lah bila si pengotor itu nak insaf. So, kene gak masak. Hidup perlu diteruskan, perut perlu diisi.

Aku hanya mampu berdoa semoga kita semua umat Islam dilindungi Allah swt. Amin.

Alhamdulillah... ada extra rezeki tahun ni. Tp saya suka nak mencadangkn kpd Pak Lah, mana lah tau klu Pak Lah termelawat blog ni... apa kata diadakan bonus maksimum... RM5000 ke... bonus minimum plak dinaikkan jd sekurang2nya RM2000. Takpun, semua dapat RM5000. Bukankah kita perlu membantu golongan yg lebih memerlukan?

Yg gaji atas RM5000 tu sure tak puas hati yek... sbb gaji aku bwh RM5000 lah aku mncdgkn sedemikian rupa... hikss. Tp aku hanya lah rakyat marhain yg takde apa2 kuasa pun nak execute the plan, just a suggestion... so tak perlu perarakan utk membantah k. ;-)

Fuel price hike

On June 4, our PM announced price hikes for petrol, diesel and electricity. The new price for petrol is RM2.70 a litre, effective midnight June 5. The price goes up by 78sen from the current RM1.92, a hike of 40%. On the day of the new price hit, I think I saw gloomy expressions everywhere, maybe it was just my imagination. I myself, felt like carrying a burden in my heart - the sympathy to those who less fortunate & the urge to cut the expenses.

40% increase? Ok, we'll get a RM625 annual cash rebate per vehicle. Still it doesn't help much... I don't have to do a calculation here to prove it. But I guess better than nothing.

Fuel price hike... I'm sort of drained with this topic. Everyone is talking about it. Of course everyone who has to pay for the fuel feels the burden. Today, for the 1st time after the increase, I filled in the tank. RM75++ for about 3/4 full. I have to learn to get use to it.
