Satu permulaan

A good BM, it is.

Tiba² dah tak tau apa nak tulis :-D

Dialog bersama Honey

Tinggal 2 minggu lagi Honey akan menganjak ke usia 4 tahun. Alhamdulillah, semakin kurang pelat & makin petah berkata². Kadang² penat juga melayan...

Honey memerhatikan Mama buat susu untuk dia...
Honey: Mama penat ke?
Mama: Aah, Mama penat...
Honey: Mama buat la susu Honey perlahan-lahan. Kalau perlahan-lahan, tak penat.
Alahai anak...

Selepas Mama tolong Honey...
Honey: Terima kasih Mama.
Mama senyap je.
Honey: Mama cakap la sama2.
Papa: Sama2...
Mama: Hmm sama2...
Honey: Mama je, Papa tak yah.
Papa: ...

Honey sambil tengok video masa dia kecik...
Honey: Mama, sape yang suapkan Honey ni?
Mama: Opah...
Honey: Kenapa Opah suap Honey? Mama mana?
Mama: Mama takde. Mama pegi keje jauh.
Honey: Papa?
Mama: Papa keje.
Honey: Sian Honey...
Huhuu anakku yang suka berdrama. Bukan dia ingat pun tetiba kesian kat diri sendiri.

Selepas tengok video Upin Ipin...
Mama: Dengar tu Honey, tak mau bohong, tipu orang tau...
Honey: Sape cakap?
Mama: Kan Upin Ipin cakap tadi...
Honey: Bukan Tuhan ke?
Mama: Ya lah, Tuhan yang cakap...
Hmm...

Ketika bergaduh dengan Iman...
Papa: Nanti Papa belikan Honey tab baru. Yang ni kasi la Iman...
Honey: Papa tak beli lagi pun.
Papa: Ya lah, nanti Papa beli lah...
Honey: Papa tak beli lagi. Jadi yang ni Honey punya lah. Bila Papa dah beli, baru lah boleh kasi Iman.
Sabar je lah...

Susah dah nak tangkap gambar Honey sekarang ni...

Skynet sucks!!!

To the online seller out there, I advise you to not using Skynet courier service to deliver your customers' orders. Seriously. Please stay away from Skynet. I'd banned Skynet service & any seller who use their service to deliver my order. Why? Just look at the image below.
The parcel is from Sg Besi... Bad service from Skynet.
Actually I paid for the item on Sunday 13/9 & the seller did send my parcel on Monday 14/9 using Skynet. Up until today, Friday 18/9, I haven't received the parcel. As you can see, even the tracking status is not updated. No, there's no additional info is required regarding the delivery. Their only problem is as the staff told me is 'abundant' parcels with few manpower/driver which equals to the bad service itself.

Since I'm using office address, so the parcel will only be delivered on Monday, if it'll ever be delivered. I did request to change to my home address, but the staff cannot guarantee that it'll be delivered tomorrow since they work only half day on Saturday. Instead the staff did suggest me to collect it myself at Kajang branch at Balakong. If they suggest this earlier instead of at 4pm today after I expressed my anger, I'd consider it. I had called them on Tuesday & been told that it'd be delivered on Thursday since Wednesday was public holiday. & day after day I guess they just saying your parcel will be delivered on the next working day. Actually today, I had to call them twice. Once in the morning, & they said they'd call me back. But only after I called them again on the evening, they did call me back telling that my parcel is still at their office.

I'm quite a 'hard core' online shopper. Even the boutique is near my office/home, I'd prefer buying online especially when no shipping charge is applied. So I have experienced deal with many courier services... Poslaju, GDex, DHL, Fedex, Kangaroo, Ta-Q-Bin... You name it. From this experience I have to say Skynet is the worst. Most of my orders were delivered by Poslaju but I never have to encounter this upsetting problem. In fact actually, I did purchase something online yesterday & it was delivered on the afternoon. I already received the item today.

From Shah Alam took 1 day only. Shame on you Skynet...
So,  yes to the online seller out there, please don't use Skynet service. Let's help them solve their problem by reducing their abundant parcels. & most importantly is giving good service to the customers in term of fast delivery.

Gold~Investment

A couple of weeks ago, Mas told me that she bought a gold bar & dinar from her brother. So I did take gold~investment into consideration. Furthermore, due to the unstable economy nowadays, maybe it's a wise move.

However, after a brief research, I guess by being optimistic that our country won't join Greece into bankruptcy, a saving in Tabung Haji or PNB is a safer, non-risky move & more profitable on annual basis. Gold~investment is more suitable for long term like 10 years due to the unstable price itself & depreciation in the selling value. At least that's what I can conclude from my brief un-thorough research.

So for a normal middle-income person like me which hardly has extra money to venture on a long term investment, I guess it's better buying gold  jewellery to be wear. Still sort of like a saving in time of desperation instead of focus on the investment.

Ok, I have desired to buy a gold bracelet quite sometimes actually. I want to buy a bracelet with spring or box hook instead of the common S hook. But I kept postponing it cos I'm not actually a fan of jewellery. It causes discomfort to me. The last time I bought 916 gold was before my wedding & it was for batal air sembahyang. That was 10 years ago. I did buy a white gold bracelet in 2010 as a reward for myself for getting a master degree. So after 5 years, I guess it's time to buy another one if I could find the design that I like.

Coincidentally, on Thursday the day Iman was confirmed infected with chicken pox, I had some times to survey gold shops at Alamanda since Iman refused to go home & I had nothing better to do. I didn't find the design that I really like & even if I did the workmanship costed RM400++ which turned me off.

Well, I guess it was my rezeki after all. A week after, on Thursday the last day I'd be on leave due to Iman's condition, I decided to go to Mak's house. Before that, I drove to Bangi Sentral & planned will only stop by if I got a parking place. It happened that I got to park my car nearby a gold jewellery store which was still near to Sugar.scarf, Bella~Ammara & so on.

So, I did find the design that I really like with spring hook. The price of the material & workmanship was cheaper compare to my survey at Alamanda. I'd highly recommend this shop. It's a muslim gold shop. It just that, it doesn't offer debit/credit card service for payment (yet). So make sure you bring lots of cash.

As for me, cos I had fell in love with the design, I chose to walk & carry Iman to the nearest bank to withdraw the cash.  A small to medium size bracelet with either spring or box hook, has a very limited design you know.

So yes, now I have a favourite gold store even though maybe the next time I buy another gold jewellery is another next 5 years.

27/8 - 4/9/2015

Feeling like writing something. So I'll jot down summary of my life for these past couple of weeks.

» Thursday, August 27 - Iman was confirmed down with chicken pox. Noticed the blisters on the night before. She remained active cos no high fever.

» After giving so much thoughts, I decided to buy Noxxa~pressure cooker from a friend. I got member price. Paid on Tuesday Sept 1, only later to receive news that maybe I'll get the cooker by end of the month. So my plan to utilize it on Raya Haji to cook lamb mandy rice was flushed away. I proceed with the purchase anyway.

» Went to a clinic on Wednesday, Sept 2 to get doctor's opinion on Iman's condition. Iman had showed a lot of progress. Didn't get doctor's consent though to send Iman to the daycare on Thursday. Fortunately, I got MC for Thursday.

» JD bought a new bicycle for Honey after picking up Honey from the daycare. A real one, with a pair of small wheels to balance the bicycle. Of course Honey was one happy kid that night while Iman was one unsatisfied kid since no new bicycle for her.

» On Thursday after picking up Honey from kindy & sent her to daycare, went to Bangi Sentral with Iman. Ended up bought a gold bracelet. Love it so much that I carried Iman & walked to the ATM nearby to withdraw some cash cos the jewellery shop didn't accept debit/credit card yet.

» Today, Friday the 4th, went to work. Iman was taken care by JD at home. Actually Iman can be sent to the daycare today but we decided to postpone it to next Monday since weekend is just around the corner.

» In the morning, there was 2nd session of practical students' presentation. Today is the last day of internship for most of the students. One of my students called Fatin is included. Got 3 students under me for this batch.

» Had a lunch treat after the presentation session. It was a treat from us that just being confirmed on promotion. We got the letter in the middle of the year & the start date for confirmation was backdated to end of last year. But our payslip still shows no difference.

» Got a present from my practical students - a printed two-faced instant shawl. I like it so much. I don't expect anything from my practical student but a present certainly will make my day.

Ok, that's all.

Happiness

I'd like to start writing again. I will.

On the way back from a conference, we talked about happiness. It started with a conversation on how ambitious some people are. It's ok for being ambitious but not to the point of being unethical or pain-in-the-ass.

Inner happiness. I think that's what people nowadays lack off. It's a social media era where people need other people to acknowledge their happiness. Or in a positive tone, people need to share their happiness with others. Meanwhile, in other words, people needs the world to know that they are happy & what makes them happy.

They are so many reasons to be happy. Oh I just being promoted. My kid got straight As in exam. My husband is very loving & romantic. Hey, we have a great holiday. We just move to a new house. I'm driving a new car. See what I have for lunch/dinner. The list goes on & it goes straight to our friends' timeline. Outer happiness - when we feel dissatisfied or not really content or feeling incomplete with the happiness unless other people know about it.

I'm not judging. I'm sincerely happy for my friends hence I like the updates. I guess by not sharing it doesn't make them less happier. I hope so. Or else, it's time to find the inner happiness. This is just a reminder for myself to be happy & just be happy. That's it. With or without others acknowledgement. Period.

Some people make the world more special just by being in it... Aren't they?? ;-)

Away...

Respect to those who patiently fasting for more than 20 hours! Not that I've never experienced it. The day I went to Liverpool, I think I had fasting for 23 hours but that was 7 years ago. I guess I do aging. Hahaa. Ok, got to admit it, iftar at 9pm is quite challenging where the day feels so long. I left the work at 5:30 & my hotel is just 4 minutes away by train. My hotel - Austria~Trend Hotel is connected to Donauzentrum, the shopping complex here which is near to Kagran train station. So, to find a meal for iftar isn't a problem. I have plenty of time before iftar & the hunger kicks off. Ok I think enough. I kinda complaining here. Not good, not good. Be patient, you should :).

I'm at Vienna right now. I think I like Vienna. I have been abroad a few times & Vienna I'd say is very public transport friendly. It's so easy to go any where. The train is like every 2 minutes. So you don't need to chase the train if you were late. & every station is like 2 minutes away. Meaning, every single place is connected by train. If there's no train, there are buses & trams. How convenient is that. So, my trip this time is not challenging. I'd love to come again to Vienna. InshaaAllah.

The problem is I miss my kids. I'm not home sick. Alhamdulillah, from my experience of being away, I hardly feel homesick. But the kiddos, I think they are my kryptonite. Absolutely. I'm not in the mood to explore & shop. But since I'm here, I kinda have to. Kalau tak, rugi orang kata. So tomorrow, fine... After work, I'll go to the city. Just to set foot there. At least I can say, yeah I went to the city *rolling eyes*. As I said before, luckily the train is so efficient. So just hop on the train, hop off & if I didn't find any interesting thing, just hop on again & go back to the hotel. Simple.

Ok la... Takde mood dah. ساي لافر. Hahaa... Not funny? :p

Salam Ramadan (in case I haven't blogged until then)

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته...

Alhamdulillah, finally today I managed to ganti puasa. Just a day, but it was hard for me to find a suitable day to finally replace it. Last Ramadan, I had to break fast for a day cos I was down with high fever due to mastitis.

To my surprise, I didn't actually feel hungry & even I was busy at the office, still I had energy to cook for breakfasting & do laundry. Really, I thought I'd be weak since it was my 1st day fasting since last Ramadan. Indeed,  with Allah's will, we'd have the energy & strength despite not eating & drinking during the day.

Hope I'll have the same energy & strength during this Ramadan. The energy & strength to attend to my family's needs especially my children; & to increase my amal.

By the way, this Ramadan I'll have the opportunity to fast for more than 18 hours! InshaaAllah... Where subuh will be at 2:30am & maghrib will be at 9pm.

Well, 6 days left before Ramadan.

Cuti-cuti

Since ada 2 anak ni, takde mood nak cuti jauh². Target cuti adalah nak berehat & at the same time bagi anak² enjoy dengan suasana lain. So no long ride kerana memenatkan. Tunggu anak² besar la, baru pegi jauh.

Pembuka 2015, iaitu 31/12/2014, bercuti di Midvalley... Ya, Midvalley shopping complex tu. Check in Boulevard Hotel. Pilih hotel ni sebab ada bath tub & connecting dengan Midvalley.

Bilik hotel...

Seronok check in dalam shopping complex ni. Senang nak makan & apa² yang kurang boleh beli je. Tapi bahaya gak. Boleh ter-overspent.

Hehee... Hasil tangkapan on the day...

Honey sibuk pilih kasut dibantu oleh Papa. Mama dah tak heran sebab dah dapat barang Mama.

Iman pun sibuk la 'menerai'...

Malam tu tengok bunga api dari dalam bilik je.

Then on CNY eve, we checked in Gold Coast Morib. Sebab nak makan besar gak, so ambil dinner buffet sekali. Kat sini xtvt main air je la.

View from the room balcony

Jacuzzi time!

Water theme park

Breakfast

Dinner

On 4/4/2015 pula, kami check in Best Western Hotel di i-City. Memang target bercuti dekat² je ni. Kebetulan masa survey, ada promotion Matta Fair. So memang save agak banyak la untuk kos hotel & main² kat i-City tu.

3D Art kot nama tempat ni...

Honey la yang paling seronok sekali.

Breakfast

Jalan² di luar restoran selepas breakfast

Dalam pakej yang kitorang ambil, dapat 2 kad brnilai RM100 each... So total RM200 la untuk dibelanjakan. Kalau tak jimat, sekejap je boleh habis. Tu pun Honey tak puas lagi main. Ada beberapa game yang aku tak rekemen main. Contohnya ferris wheel. Dah lah slow, panas plak tu. Then ada submarine, not bad lah, tapi macam tak berbaloi dengan harga. Dah lah kanak2 pun kene bayar. Next time kalau pergi memang just melayan Honey & Iman main je lah. Game yang memang khas untuk kanak² normally RM5 per ride. Tapi kene tunggu promotion, baru berbaloi.

Itu lah cuti² setakat ni. Senang dekat, badan pun tak penat. Yang penting anak² happy.

Actually cuti sekolah ni ingat nak gi PD. Actually dah booked pun hotel. Tapi ada kenduri kawin lak. So terpaksa lah cancel. Lagipun bulan 6 ni busy. So memang takde  mood sangat nak bercuti. Maybe next percutian, lepas raya. Takpun tunggu birthday Honey & Iman.

Kindy Hunter: Part 2

Rindunya nak menulis! Sungguh! Ok tak payah lah nak intro sangat. Fokus.

Ketiga² kindy yang aku survey, each has their own pros & cons. No ideal kindy. Pening kepala jadinya. My plan is to send Honey to the kindy for half day only. After the class has finished, Honey will be transferred to her current day care.

Ar Rayyan: We love the environment. It's located at a 2-storey bungalow house, with spacious outdoor space. However, I'm not satisfied with the syllabus. Iqra' is not part of the syllabus. They do offer the the subject but only after the class. Then, for students under a half day program, during school holidays, no half-day day care for them.

Dzul Iman: It has separate branches for 4yo & above. Hence, when Iman turns 4yo & Honey is 6yo, they still can't go to the same kindy. For 4yo, it's located at 1-storey semi-D house while for 5 & 6yo, it's located at 2-storey semi-D house. I don't really like both locations. Both areas seem a bit compact that I feel I might have a problem to park my car in order to drop or pick up the kid. The syllabus & environment are ok. My neighbour sends their kid here & they're satisfied with her progress.

Little Caliph: The branch here is new. Hence, the teachers might be new with new setup. It's located at the 1st floor of a shoplot. So there'll be no outdoor space. However, I like the location which is near to Honey's day care. Even it's located at shoplots area, the area is not busy. No problem to park cars. The syllabus is ok & I think TLC program is already well established since it has many kindergartens under the program.

The annual & monthly fees for all the kindergartens are more or less the same. The opening hours for half-day program are almost thr same too. So these won't be the factor for my selection.

Actually, I did survey 1 more kindy because I received the pamphlet inside the post box. I went there alone. The fee I'd say significantly cheaper compare to those 3 kindergartens. The environment is ok. However, I sticked to those 3 as my options.

Just like 'House Hunter' TV series, I need to eliminate 1 1st. Hmmm, after thinking thoroughly, I eliminate Ar Rayyan from my option due to least attractive syllabus & no day care for half day programme during school holidays.

Ok, next episode I'll reveal my choice ;).

Hhh...

Haihh... Can I update this blog just to sigh... Haihh... Not that I have a big problem rite now but I'm afraid that the problem might be beyond my control. Ya Allah, please give me strength & patience. Please ease the path.

I'd luv to write about 2014. So many things have happened. But I guess, I should juz forget writing about it since there are so many other things to write that maybe left unwritten after all. To sum year 2014 in 1 word - unpredictable.

For 2015, I think the keyword would be transition.
