Gold~Investment

A couple of weeks ago, Mas told me that she bought a gold bar & dinar from her brother. So I did take gold~investment into consideration. Furthermore, due to the unstable economy nowadays, maybe it's a wise move.

However, after a brief research, I guess by being optimistic that our country won't join Greece into bankruptcy, a saving in Tabung Haji or PNB is a safer, non-risky move & more profitable on annual basis. Gold~investment is more suitable for long term like 10 years due to the unstable price itself & depreciation in the selling value. At least that's what I can conclude from my brief un-thorough research.

So for a normal middle-income person like me which hardly has extra money to venture on a long term investment, I guess it's better buying gold  jewellery to be wear. Still sort of like a saving in time of desperation instead of focus on the investment.

Ok, I have desired to buy a gold bracelet quite sometimes actually. I want to buy a bracelet with spring or box hook instead of the common S hook. But I kept postponing it cos I'm not actually a fan of jewellery. It causes discomfort to me. The last time I bought 916 gold was before my wedding & it was for batal air sembahyang. That was 10 years ago. I did buy a white gold bracelet in 2010 as a reward for myself for getting a master degree. So after 5 years, I guess it's time to buy another one if I could find the design that I like.

Coincidentally, on Thursday the day Iman was confirmed infected with chicken pox, I had some times to survey gold shops at Alamanda since Iman refused to go home & I had nothing better to do. I didn't find the design that I really like & even if I did the workmanship costed RM400++ which turned me off.

Well, I guess it was my rezeki after all. A week after, on Thursday the last day I'd be on leave due to Iman's condition, I decided to go to Mak's house. Before that, I drove to Bangi Sentral & planned will only stop by if I got a parking place. It happened that I got to park my car nearby a gold jewellery store which was still near to Sugar.scarf, Bella~Ammara & so on.




So, I did find the design that I really like with spring hook. The price of the material & workmanship was cheaper compare to my survey at Alamanda. I'd highly recommend this shop. It's a muslim gold shop. It just that, it doesn't offer debit/credit card service for payment (yet). So make sure you bring lots of cash.

As for me, cos I had fell in love with the design, I chose to walk & carry Iman to the nearest bank to withdraw the cash.  A small to medium size bracelet with either spring or box hook, has a very limited design you know.

So yes, now I have a favourite gold store even though maybe the next time I buy another gold jewellery is another next 5 years.

My~Dear Sale

After 2 years, last Saturday we went My~Dear Warehouse Sale for the 2nd time.


Dah seminggu, sale pun dah nak habis, baru nak cerita.

Memang tertunggu² sale kali ini kerana dah target nak beli safety gate. 2 tahun yang lalu pun beli safety gate, tapi itu untuk letak di tangga bahagian bawah.

Ada gate di tingkat atas, mudah sikit kami nak bersiap pergi kerja. Boleh tinggalkan pintu bilik terbuka. Kalau Honey bangun tidur, tak bimbang dia akan turun bawah sendiri. Kalau aku di bawah, Hani panggil pun boleh dengar sebab pintu bilik tak tertutup.

Biasalah target safety gate, terbeli juga benda lain.


Tapi Honey tak mau main dalam rumah mainan ni. Dia tak reti lagi main pondok². JD pun dah cakap dia nak simpan, tunggu Honey besar sikit baru pasang balik. I think that's better. Bila Honey & Iman dah besar, mesti diorang seronok ada rumah mainan ni.

Ini adalah kegilaan aku sekarang...


Tudung awning lembut. Suka sangat! Sebab bukan setakat selesa dipakai, untuk orang yang tak kisah muka kelihatan bulat ke lonjong ke, tak payah nak risau awning senget, tapi senang juga untuk dibasuh & disimpan. Pastu boleh dipakai ketika solat tanpa perlu risau awning patah/penyek. Tudung awning keras tu dah cukup senang dipakai... ni kes nak senangggg lagi. Setakat ni material tudung ni yang aku jumpa adalah cotton which gives extra comfort.

So tengah gigih mengumpul semua warna. Actually payah nak jumpa yang plain. Most of the plain one, I bought online. Kalau yang bercorak, beli kat pasar malam je. But I have to say, Ariani punya yang bercorak cantik. It just that I know that I rarely wear the one with pattern. So tak mau lah membazir. Unfortunately, no plain one kat Ariani. Kalau tak, it'd be my 1st tudung yang beli kat Ariani. Still I haven't found the must have color for every normal lady out there which is pink. I so want the pink one.

Ehem, cantik tak??? Telekung... model tu memang cantik.

Baru beli semalam. Turned out the seller's house is near my house. So no need to deliver by post. Semalam ada lagi 3 kaler, but today only 2 colors left. I'm so satisfied with the quality & am thinking of buying another one, not for me though, as a gift but the color that I want is the one which has sold out today. Bukan rezeki orang tu lah kot kan... whoever the lucky lady is... hehee.

Tomorrow, I have 2 invitations. Guess what?? Kedua2nya adalah jemputan ke kenduri anak berkhatan. Cuti sekolah lah katakan. Tapi ni lah rasanya pertama kali aku nak gi kenduri berkhatan.

Actually I was looking for a comfortable-practical-good babywear. I already knew at the 1st place that my preference is soft-structured carrier (SSC) but I just couldn't make up my mind which SSC should I buy. So many brands of SSC out there. However, somehow I'm interested with Ergo^baby or other brands that are on par. I have to say the price is expensive for my budget that I have to really survey which SSC that suits me best. In the meantime, I guess I should just settle with ring sling. Actually I was looking for a cheap ring sling, ~RM50, since I know that I won't wear it for long. I didn't even mind if it was used, but I failed to find 1 & ended up buying a new ring sling as in the above pic.

I like the ring sling. It's so easy to wear & Honey seems comfortable in it. However, just a few weeks after buying the ring sling, I found the SSC that fulfill my criteria. It's the Beco Gemini SSC! Just google & you'll find a lot of results. 1 of them is this review - Best Carriers. Why did I choose Beco? Maybe I'll write about it in the future post.

Ok, back to the ring sling. Certainly I don't need 2 babywears since I hardly wear 1. Still, a stroller is my 1st choice for outing. So now, I'm letting go the ring sling. I'm sure many cool mommies out there prefer this type of babywear or like to have both ring sling & SSC.

The ring sling is still new. I never wear it outside the house. In fact I just wore it less than 1 hour, inside the house. I'm letting go the ring sling for RM66, excluding postage. Another expo...

Hu huu... hari ni pergi baby expo lagi. Kalau hari tu kat K.L.C.C Convention Centre, kali ni kat Midvalley plak. Pergi sorang2. Tekad walaupun masa tu dah pukul 11 lebih. JD stay kat rumah, jaga Honey yg demam. Pray hard moga dapat parking. Alhamdulillah, setelah berpusing2 dapat gak.

Actually I already have something to buy in mind. Teringin nk beli masa baby expo yg lepas, tapi tak jadi. La ni terbayang2. Apa bendanya? Ni ha...


Hopefully this thing can assist me picking up my hair yg banyak gugur especially atas karpet. Pakai vakum cleaner yg biasa tu leceh, dgn besarnya, nak kene tarik kabel... ni lah dia, dah senang, nak senang lagi. I also bought a warmer for car...


Selain tu, beli baju Honey. Tapi tak banyak pun. Beli baju renang Honey sekali. Ada saiz 3-6 bulan, tapi beli yg 12 bulan sebab I dont think I'd bring Honey to swimming pool in the time being. Tapi kalau Honey dah setahun nanti memang plan nak bawak. Dah mula berangan. & hopefully muat sampai pergi Langkawi next year. Reminder for me... kuruskan badan. Kalau tak I might need to buy a new swimming suit. Tak mau lah kan. Membazir! Dah pandai sekarang, untuk diri sendiri membazir... tapi untuk Honey takpe. But I'm still a bit like gadget slave. Haih... nak henpon baru! Laptop baru pun nak gak! But that's another story. Takpe ada 7 bulan lagi untuk kuruskan badan & kempiskan perut yg buncit dengan lemak seberat 2kg ni... hiks.

Back to the baby expo, ramai gila orang. I prefer the one at K.L.C.C, lebih selesa & tenteram. Yang ni jalan pun terkedek2, berlanggar sana sini. Tapi next time, still nak pergi.

VIP Seat

Frankly speaking I was quite shock when I 1st found out the price. Expensive (for my budget) for a stuff that look plasticky. Fine it's made from a special rubber/plastic. Luckily I got about 25% discount when I bought it at the motherhood expo.

The Bumbo seat does help Honey to sit. But Honey sometimes can be a restless baby, so she cant sit in the chair for long. So for now my review is the seat isnt that useful. Maybe later, maybe when Honey starts eating.

More baby stuff...

Went to KL Convention Center today for another expo of motherhood.


Sejak ada baby ni, I hv to say tht this is my favorite expo & it's hard to skip it. Mesti nak pergi. This time I had prepared a list & targeted a few things such as Bumbo seat, play mat, soft books & puree container.

The result...


Yes, more baby stuff & I got almost everything in the list except for the soft books & puree container. Besides, I bought picnic mat & common stuff for babies like antibacterial wipes, teats etc. Play mat beli yg murah aje, memadai untuk Honey berguling.

I didnt find puree container, but I found an interesting food feeder for babies.

Stroller Hunting

Before giving birth to Honey, I plan to buy Maclaren Quest~Sport stroller since I read lots of good reviews about the stroller besides the reasonable price. However, the stroller is only suitable for 3 months & above, not from birth.


Then, I terbeli My~Dear stroller at the warehouse sale bcos it's cheap & I cant skip the bargain especially when I was gonna buy the matching infant carrier. It's not bad except that it's bulky.. really bulky from my point of view.. after some times looking at it at home. As a new parent, lesson learned - dont ever buy a bulky stroller. So far, we never use the stroller. JD said we might use it when we bring Honey to the zoo.. ntah bila lah tu.

Somehow, about last 2 weeks, finally I decided to have a stroller with a reversible handle so I can face my baby while pushing the stroller. In my mind was Combi Urban~Walker. However, from what I read, it's quite big when being folded.

Sigh. So I'm torn between these 2 strollers - Maclaren & Combi. I kinda like Maclaren better due to its umbrella-fold feature. I like the handle as well which can be the place to hang shopping plastic bags. However, the handle's not reversible, doesnt have an armbar which I think kinda essential for a stroller & cant be used from birth. If only there's a stroller that combines both features of Maclaren & Combi strollers, at a reasonable & affordable price (read: below RM1k)...

Akhirnya setelah membelek kedua2 stroller ini di sebuah kedai barangan baby, we ended up buying this stroller...

Pheww.. nasib baik takde kaler pink. Kalau tak, mau gaduh dgn JD.
It's more like Combi. The handle is reversible,has a detachable armbar, full cover canopy & self-standing after folding. It's ultra lightweight, juz 5kg, lighter than Maclaren & Combi.. so it's not a hassle for me to carry it in & out of a car. It's easy to be opened/folded & unlike Combi, it doesnt take much space in the car. The 5-point security harness fits little Honey well. However, due to its lightweight & small wheels, it's not very suitable to be used on the rough surface. Sekali sekala takpe lah. Lagipun, memang biasanya jalan2 di shopping complex je. Most importantly, 2-months-&-1-week old Honey was comfortable in it...

Huhuu.. which one?

Banyaknya mainan, colorful... I like. Sampai rambang mata nak memilih. I ended up entering the shop thrice bcos I couldnt decide which stuff I wanna buy for Honey.. semata2 sebab nak redeem baucer ToysRus bernilai RM40 which will be expired this 15th. Finally, I decided to buy this...



Actually Honey already have the same stuff which we attach to either her playpen or rocker. Tapi yg ada tu pakai bateri & tak boleh letak kat stroller.

Btw, dapat baucer RM40 tu sebab beli rocker ni...


Ada mainan gantung2 gak tapi boleh dicabut. The rocker can be converted to a chair for toddler. In the previous post, ada gambar Honey dalam rocker ni.

Dulu enjoy cari barang sendiri such as shoes & handbags. Now, bertambah enjoy cari barang anak plak.. which means more reasons to shop ;-).

P/s: Hari ni Honey genap 2 bulan.

My Dear

Hari Sabtu yg lalu, a day before raya haji, Honey join sekali hantar Opah ke KL. Of course lah sebenarnya Mama yg nak ikut sebab dah sangap sangat rasanya duduk kat rumah. Kalau keluar pun, pergi klinik & kedai barangan baby kat BBB. Kira keluar gak kan.. tapi ntah lah, mungkin sebab keluar kerana tanggungjawab/terpaksa bukan sebab suka2, so still rasa tak 'hidup'.

Sebenarnya selain daripada memang nak menghantar Opah Honey, aku ada niat lain. So, on the way balik, JD tanya ada nak gi mana2 tak, aku pun bagitau lah. Nasib baik JD setuju. Kiranya hari Sabtu lepas, lama lah Honey berjalan.

Jalan ke mana? Ke My~Dear Warehouse~Sale di Puchong. Plan nak beli infant carrier. Asalnya aku plan nak beli convertible car seat untuk Honey. Tapi bila melihat saiz Honey yang kecil & aku plak dah teringin sangat nak bawak Honey jalan2, rasanya for the time being infant carrier lebih sesuai. So memandangkan ada sale, nak cari lah carrier yang murah.

Boleh dikatakan memang murah2 lah barangan yg dijual. Sale rasanya up to 50%. Walaupun asalnya nak beli infant carrier aje, tapi terbeli terus travel system sebab tambah sikit, boleh dapat the matching stroller. Tambah lah aku tak sabar2 nak (bawak Honey) jalan2 :-P. Cuma the stroller agak bulky. Well dengan harganya, what can we expect rite? Takpe cuba dulu stroller yang ada. If I find it hard to handle due to its bulkiness & Honey plak 'stroller-friendly', bolehlah dipertimbangkan beli stroller lain.. *wink kat JD.* However, JD seems still belum confident nak bawak Honey jalan2 walaupun dah ada travel system. Katanya Honey masih terlalu kecil. Tapi kalau tak guna skrg, rugi lah sebab infant carrier boleh guna sampai umur 6 bulan aje. Takpe, dah habis pantang nanti, Mama bawak Honey pergi Alamanda ya.

Selain tu, beli gak safety gate untuk dipasang di tangga rumah. Bukannya apa, walaupun Honey masih belum pandai berguling sekarang, apa lagi merangkak & berjalan, tp by next year sepatutnya dah pandai lah kan. So tak perlu lah sibuk nak tunggu next sale untuk beli safety gate.

Next week ada baby expo di MidValley. Kalau pergi, Honey kene lah ditinggalkan. Nenek tolong jaga Honey ya. Memang tak confident lagi nak bawak Honey ke tempat yang crowded.

Shopping memang menyeronokkan. So I have to admit that I went home from Midvalley excitedly yesterday.

Happy hour - RM199. Normal price ~RM280 I think. Walaupun benda alah ni tak wajib ada, tp kalau ada best lah kan. Lagi2 bila dapat murah, just couldn't ignore it.

3x4oz + 3x9oz = RM145. So 1 botol ~RM24 aje. Murah lah kan.

Normal price is RM259. Ada less 30%. Kalau survey kat shopping webs, paling murah pun boleh dapat ~RM220. So another sale that I just couldn't ignore. Lagipun suka design dia... sesuai untuk both mother & father.

Spectra~3 breastpump

For dual pump, the price is RM323. Normal price maybe ~RM380. Tak lah jauh sangat beza kan. Tapi yang bestnya, boleh redeem Maybank~TreatsPoints. So, I just paid RM150... bakinya redeem aje point.

Actually plan nak beli breastpump bila nak dekat bersalin nanti. Walaupun by that time mega sale dah abis, hopefully ada shopping webs yang buat promosi. Tapi memang plan nak beli Spectra~3. Walaupun agak berat, but the price is reasonable for 1st-time mommy like me yang still in doubt of my ability to fully breastfeed my baby.

Kalau tengok kat website, harga backpack ni RM140... memang khas untuk bawak breastpump macam Spectra~3 & segala aksesori.

Selain daripada barang2 di atas, ada gak beli romper beberapa helai... tapi bukan saiz newborn. Cute2 baju yang dijual... tu yang takde saiz pun beli gak. Takpe, orang kata baby cepat membesar kan. Btw, I think next expo will be in Nov.

Okeh, waktu rehat dah abis. So far, alhamdulillah, badan belum lagi lembik... hehee.

Baby stuff, so far...

At last we start buying baby stuff. I guess I'm not blur anymore. With the guide from a newborn checklist that I had downloaded from My.Permata.Hati website, I have a brief idea on the necessary stuff. I also spent some times surfing shopping webs & visiting baby stores in order to know the price range. These are the stuff that we purchased at Little.Whiz... Blanket, swaddle, towel & stuff like that.

Guess what, the unborn baby already got a present... A pair of cute tiny socks from practical students.

This morning, we went to Parenthood~Expo at Midvalley. This is the 2nd time we went to this kind of expo, so we didn't actually expect that we'd buy something. Turn out, yup I'm not as clueless as the 1st time. So, this is the result... I think we got a good deal for all these stuff. I'd like to share the details in my next post.

So, that's it so far. Actually, I think quite a lot of stuff that we haven't bought yet like baby gear, bedding set, baby care & grooming, diapering etc. Will continue shopping for baby after Eid. Or... would anyone like to give early presents for our baby? ;-) hiksss.

Yesterday I had received a parcel... wait... not 'a' but 2 parcels actually. Fine, I did an online shopping a few days ago... but it didn't just stop there. Once started, I guess it's just hard for me not to surf around & stop myself from adding things to a shopping cart, check out happily & eagerly waiting for the items to arrive. The only thing that stop me is something being called 'rationality' ;-). Still I did add a few items in the shopping carts. Just waiting for the rite time to actually proceed. Don't know why, somehow I love online shopping. Maybe I'm just plain lazy to move my ass =P.

Back to the parcels that I had received...

The big parcel consisted the 3 tops that I had shopped online a few days ago as mentioned in my previous post. While the smaller one, is...

Actually I did buy a pair of maternity jeans. But I guess my tummy is not big enough that the stretchable part of the jeans does not grip my belly well. Bila jalan, rasa macam nak terlondeh pulak. Now the problem of not having enough cloth has been solved. I can still wear pants, jeans & kain baju kurung comfortably :D.

Hari Jumaat lalu dimulakan dengan kecerian. Bila sampai di office, there was a parcel for me. Yay, the stuff that I purchased online, had arrive.

I bought 2 since I planned to give one of them as a present. But I'd like to keep both of them ;). The one with a handbag image can also be a handbag ornament.

However, the sun's not always shining.

10 days left... InshaAllah

The time does fly so fast indeed. Less than 2 weeks before we celebrating Eid. I got a fever last Sunday... the 1st one this year & as far as I can remember the 1st one during Ramadhan. I was tempted to breakfast & take medicine but I dismissed the idea.

Spent the day laying down.

Somehow, about 1 hour before iftar, after taking a nap for about 40 minutes, I started sweating a lot & feeling better. Alhamdulillah. However, I kept sneezing last nite. Well, I have a stuffy nose rite now.

How's the preparation for Eid? Last Saturday, I bought a new carpet for the living area.

I guess, that's the only new stuff for our home this year. The cookies that I ordered online had been delivered last week.

I'm already got more than enough baju raya so I'm not looking for more. I used to prepare only a pair of baju raya (at the last minute)... so more than a pair means more than enough for me. About kasut raya, handbag raya, etc raya... I guess I don't really prepare for Eid to that extent. However, this year I do have a handbag raya ;).

A new (but not raya) handbag flew all the way from US. TQVM Mas!

But no kasut raya to match the handbag raya. Hmmm... (now I find an excuse to buy a new pair of shoes). No, actually I'm not really in the mood for shoes hunting (seriously). Moreover who cares about a matching shoes & handbag nowadays. At least I don't... hehee.

Ok, enough about Eid. Not that I'm really looking forward for it anyway.

It's time to appreciate the virtue of the last 10 days of Ramadhan & Laylat al-Qadr. May Allah accept all our ibadah on this Holy month. May Allah guide us to the right path.

Pada hari Ahad beberapa minggu yg lepas, aku gi sini.

Betul lah kata Akak, baju-baju kat sini murah aje. Aku beli sehelai blouse harga RM25 & plain sleeveless long dress harga RM15. Murah kan? Yer, tapi kualiti kureng lah.

Mungkin ada yg jawab mcm tu. As for me, yg penting nmpk menarik, selesa dipakai &... murah. Hiks.

Lunch tadi aku gi ke salah sebuah shopping complex berdekatan yg tak berapa besar di mana di bahagian bawah terdapat gerai2 menjual baju. Aku jumpa blouse sebijik mcm yang aku beli hari tu. Brand pun sama, iaitu takde brand. So, aku pun bertanya...

Aku: Dik, baju ni harga berapa?
Adik penjual: 79 ringgit. Tp saya bagi akak 69.

Kesimpulannya, blouse yg aku beli tu mmg cun & boleh dibeli pd harga RM25 & RM69. Your choice. =D

End of An Affair

6 tahun!

Yer, 6 tahun kami bersama. Akhirnya, dengan berat hati aku mengucapkan selamat tinggal...

Isk, 6 tahun aku gunakan wallet yg sama. Wallet tu pun masih elok, masih boleh dipakai. Nak kata boring pun tidak.

Cuma tetiba terbuka hati nak beli wallet baru. Bukan satu, tapi dua!

Ni lah akibatnya kalau hobi suka window shopping. Tak banyak, sikit pun tershopping gak.

Lebih kurang sebulan yg lepas, aku ke John^Lewis. Tetiba ternampak wallet ni.

Memang berkenan dgn design & saiznya yg kecil. Aku ni tak suka pakai wallet yg besar & gemuk. Kaler merah ada satu je, terus lah beli sebab dah berkenan.

Tapi, boleh plak sayang nak pakai. Sayang juga nak stop gunakn yg lama. So simpan je wallet baru dlm laci.

Kemudian, 2 minggu yg lepas aku ke Deben^hams pula. Nampak wallet ni terus jatuh hati.

Walaupun saiz dia agak besar bg aku, suka giler dgn design dia. Ada 2 compartment berzip. Boleh asingkn syiling kpd 2 bhgn, senang nak mncari masa bayar. Kat UK ni byk sgt duit syiling - £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p & 1p.

Kali ni takde sayang2 dah. Balik bilik terus tukar wallet.

Well, skrg syiling dah tak byk terkumpul mcm dulu sbb dah tak terkial2 nak mencari especially 2p & 1p.

So now, my wallet is purple in color!
