Hooked on hangers

Hari Jumaat lalu dimulakan dengan kecerian. Bila sampai di office, there was a parcel for me. Yay, the stuff that I purchased online, had arrive.

Jeng jeng jeng...

Cute kan.

There are handbag hangers (or handbag hooks)!

I bought 2 since I planned to give one of them as a present. But I'd like to keep both of them ;). The one with a handbag image can also be a handbag ornament.

However, the sun's not always shining.

To be continued in 'A series of unfortunate event: Part 3' (if it's ever exist)...

A series of unfortunate events: Part 2

On the way to Kajang last Friday during a lunch break before going to Warta, my car had met an accident. A motorcycle hit the back of my car. Not that I never met an accident before, in fact I had worse but never with a motorcycle.

Somehow I went blank when I saw through the rear mirror the rider hit the back of my car. I parked my car the at the left side of the road. I was like, is he dead? Is he badly injured? I imagined lots of blood. Then I started to question is't my fault? When I realized that it was absolutely not my fault, I stepped out of the car. Still, my hands were shaking.

To my relief the rider was already on his motorcycle at the left side of the road but his back was facing me. I took a look at the rear plat number & was about to ask him. But he took off with his motorcycle.

So I was shocked & pissed off at the same time.

The first accident for this car. I hope it'd be the last.

The back's not damage badly but still needs a few hundred bucks to fix the scratches & bumper. Alhamdulillah, everyone's alright & the car's still in a good condition. :-)

Even though I have experienced a few car accidents before, but an accident with a motorcycle was a scary one. When I saw the motorcycle rider hit the back of my car & fell, I felt like my blood was draining out of me. After the accident, I proceeded to Kajang city. I wanted to withdraw some money but I had a tough time remembering my pin number. Luckily, eventually I did after taking a long deep breath & trying to relax my mind. That was how blank & confused I was after the accident.

After settling the business at Kajang, I drove to BBB. I wasn't in the mood actually but I was hungry. So, I decided to go to Warta (after seeing a long queue at McD drive thru) where the next unfortunate event took place.

A series of unfortunate events: Part 1

Seriously, this is a series of unfortunate events. One after another. I'll write about the 2 previous unfortunate events in the next part(s) of this series. Kalau rajin =D.

Huh masa tu lapar. Yer lah lunch break. Kalau nak makan KFC, kene beratur panjang. Fastfood lain nampak tak menarik pulak. So aku pegi ke foodcourt... alah kat tingkat atas tu. Nak bungkus nasi goreng. So aku order nasi goreng ikan bilis. Pembantu kedai ke dapur & cakap kat tukang masak - nasi goreng ikan bilis bungkus 1. Pastu, aku pun pergi la jalan-jalan dulu. Then, aku gi kedai tu balik untuk amik nasi goreng yang dah diorder.
Me: Siap dah nasi goreng ikan bilis?
Pembantu kedai (Indon rasanya): Siap dah. Tapi bukan nasi goreng ikan bilis... nasi goreng ikan masin.
Me: Tapi saya order nasi goreng ikan bilis.
Pembantu kedai: Saya dah cakap nasi goreng ikan bilis, tapi dia masak nasi goreng ikan masin.
Me: Abis tu tak boleh masak ke nasi goreng ikan bilis???
Pembantu kedai: Tapi saya ada letak ikan bilis.
Aku pikir ok lah, janji ada ikan bilis. Malas nak bertekak. Orang order nasi goreng ikan bilis, dimasaknya nasi goreng ikan masin. Tau silap, tapi tetap nak jual kat pelanggan yang silap tu jugak. Lalu aku pun bagi lah RM5. Kalau tengok kat menu, nasi goreng ikan bilis RM4. Tapi pembantu kedai tu pulangkan 20 sen aje. Memang lah nasi goreng ikan masin RM4.80, tapi aku order nasi goreng ikan bilis. Dah tau silap, pastu senang-senang je nak suruh kita bayar, sedangkan dia yang salah. Bukannya aku berkira sangat 80 sen, tapi aku rasa macam peniaga ni memang nak kenekan pelanggan. Tau nak untung dia aje. Mesti dia rasa rugi kalau dia masak nasi goreng ikan bilis tu, takut nasi goreng ikan masin yang dimasak takde orang nak beli. Lagi pun, macam mana kalau aku memang ada RM4 aje masa tu.
Me: Kenapa balik 20 sen? Nasi goreng ikan bilis kan RM4.
Pembantu kedai: Sebab nasi goreng ikan masin.
Me: Kalau macam tu, you keluarkan lah ikan masin dia. I tak mau.
Pembantu kedai: Tapi kita bagi nasi lebih.
Me: I tak mintak pun. I cuma order nasi goreng ikan bilis.

* Interlude *

Apa gunanya menang jika tiada hadiah?
Apa guna bertahan jika hati hancur?

Gelas dilihat separuh kosong.
Lalu, kita terlupa untuk menghargai dan bersyukur.
Rumput yang lebih hijau hanyalah warna semata-mata.
Gelas itu adalah separuh penuh.

Happiness is not about winning & perfection.

Out of the blue

Yesterday, an old friend of mine called my office. She wanted to meet me, & I suggested Alamanda since I was planning to go there after work. I was really surprised by her phone call. I think the last time we did talk to each other was in 2006, thru phone. 3 years ago, I tried to contact her mobile phone number, but failed. I searched for her (office) email address on internet & emailed her. She replied. I emailed her at her personal email that she had given me, but no reply from her.

Yesterday, out of the blue, she wanted to meet me. I was reminded by the actual reason I emailed her 3 years ago. But I dismissed the idea assuming that whatever happens, she relents. I knew her as a very nice person. So, there's a possibility she accepts what had happened to her with an open heart. At least that was what I thought 3 years ago. I thought she already knew about it & she could guess that I was about to tell her. I thought she tried to stop me from interfering by not replying my email.

So yesterday, I thought maybe she involves in a direct selling & wants to promote her stuff or she's looking for a down line. Well, it's ok. It's good to meet an old friend anyhow, especially the one that I know I'm comfortable with.

But I was wrong. She doesn't want to promote anything. We chatted & exchanged stories. Then she started mentioning about the thing that I've known & been longing to tell her or at least asking her since 3 years ago.

My assumption that she's ok with it was wrong. She didn't know about it at the first place & she absolutely couldn't accept it, right until now. When she started crying, I hold back my tears.

It was night already & we decided to call it a day.

She left me struck with the fact that life's so unpredictable & not a fairy tale indeed.

Nak buat ke tak nak?

That's the question that weighing on my mind rite now.

Sebelum raya, memang bersemangat nak buat. Dah raya, kurang sikit semangat. See, I'm still considering it. Memang lah penat... deciding the menu & cleaning up the house. Penat tapi seronok.

The initial plan is on this coming Sunday. We'll see. Syawal pun masih panjang lagi. Kalau tak Ahad ni, Ahad depan. Kalau tak Ahad depan, Ahad depan lagi. Kalau tak, mungkin tahun depan =P. However, my house is always opened for anyone who wish to come to celebrate Eid :-).

Somehow I'm in the mood for experimenting new recipes. Maybe new to me since I never cook them, but not new to others. Cooking isn't one of my fortes, so I have lots of recipes to try. But I haven't start the experiment instead I just flipped through the recipe books that I recently bought.

Ok lah, I wanna watch C.S.I now. This is certainly one of my fortes ;-).

Afterlife in 3D

After Avatar, I don't wanna expect much from a 3D movie. However I did expect to see zombie's head flew out from the screen in this RE fourth installment. Unfortunately, there's no such 3D effect in the movie... maybe the director thinks it's too gross. However, overall the 3D isn't disappointing. The movie itself for me is an entertaining action packed movie. The 3D makes it more interesting.

Fine, as expected the storyline is totally different from the game. It just that I don't understand why did they still keep Umbrella in the picture. I fail to comprehend the motive. The good thing is we still can relate to the game. Kinda intriguing to see that Alice actually did carry all the weapons with her & collect coins. Most importantly, there's Christ~Redfield in the movie although not as the main character.

Suddenly I feel like watching the previous installments.
