Baby stuff, so far...

At last we start buying baby stuff. I guess I'm not blur anymore. With the guide from a newborn checklist that I had downloaded from My.Permata.Hati website, I have a brief idea on the necessary stuff. I also spent some times surfing shopping webs & visiting baby stores in order to know the price range. These are the stuff that we purchased at Little.Whiz...
Blanket, swaddle, towel & stuff like that.

Guess what, the unborn baby already got a present...
A pair of cute tiny socks from practical students.

This morning, we went to Parenthood~Expo at Midvalley. This is the 2nd time we went to this kind of expo, so we didn't actually expect that we'd buy something. Turn out, yup I'm not as clueless as the 1st time. So, this is the result...
I think we got a good deal for all these stuff. I'd like to share the details in my next post.

So, that's it so far. Actually, I think quite a lot of stuff that we haven't bought yet like baby gear, bedding set, baby care & grooming, diapering etc. Will continue shopping for baby after Eid. Or... would anyone like to give early presents for our baby? ;-) hiksss.

Selamat menyambut Ramadhan. Semoga segala amalan kita diberkatiNya. Amin.

Durian

Jumaat lepas makan durian.

Free. Banyak gila durian.

Pilih je nak isi kaler kuning, cream, keras, lembik, besar, kecik, semua ada. Memang kalau ikut nafsu, boleh tak berenti makan. Aku pun lost count brp ulas aku makan. Tapi rasanya ada dalam 1 1/2 biji kot. Alhamdulillah, kenyang. Tak payah lunch.

Petang ni ada doa selamat & karnival lak. Ermm... makan lagi walaupun khabarnya cuma bihun.

Yadda, yadda...

I got an offer to visit one of the research institutes in Japan. However due to my current situation of being pregnant rite now, they reluctantly withdrew the offer. Furthermore, I'm about to enter the 3rd trimester where the time is kinda limited to prepare & undergo 2-4 weeks training. I can't help being a bit disappointed although it was expected since it's a great opportunity.

Actually, the match Spore vs Msia is on air rite now. I can't stand watching the game. 4-1.. WTH? If it's only me, I'd switch the channel.

Ok, sambung balik.

I already passed up 2 visits to Bandung before. The 1st one was during I was 5 weeks pregnant. On the day I was supposed to get my period which was on week 4, I did get my period, at least I thought so at the time being. But turned out, it was just a heavy spotting which can be either implantation/hormonal bleeding or a sign of miscarriage. So, it's better to be cautious. Alhamdulillah, that was the only bleeding that ever occured so far.

The 2nd trip supposed to be during I was about 3 months pregnant. However, D just came back from Jakarta after staying there for 2 weeks. Since I wasn't in the mood to do 'unnecessary' shopping, I agreed to cancel the plan & went to Cameron~Highlands instead.

This coming October, I have to pass up another 2 trips which are to K.Tganu & Medan. Nak buat camna, kita manusia hanya mampu merancang. Nasib baik beli tiket flight masa promosi, so tak la rasa rugi sangat. But I lost quite amount of money gak la for the 1st trip to Bandung since it wasn't promo tix.

Wee... 4-3!

Err... 5-3.

Tinggal sehari lagi...

Think about it, I don't know how actually unborn babies feed themselves. I know they get food & oxygen thru umbilical cord but do they get whatever mommies eat right away? Hmmm.

Harap2 mampu berpuasa penuh Ramadhan ini. Semoga insan kecil dipeliharaNya. InsyaAllah. Amin.

Kalumpang~Resort

Kesinambungan daripada bila hati gedik nak bercuti...

Wah, dah sebulan rupanya masa berlalu. Rasa macam baru lagi percutian ni. Time flies so fast indeed!

Sebab Mak nak bercuti dalam hutan, Kalumpang~Resort jadi pilihan. Never been there but judging from the pics on internet, it's green enough & the most important thing ada sungai.

Ok lah, terus ke pros & cons tempat ni based on my experience...

Pros:
  • Ada sungai yang terjaga & bersih. Seronok bila berenang nampak ikan2 dalam sungai. Mak buyung pun enjoy berenang ala2 ikan duyung.
  • Ada mini zoo.
  • Chalet Tempua tu memang betul2 mengadap sungai. Bila buka pintu akan kedengaran bunyi sungai mengalir deras.
  • Hijau, suasana redup aje.
  • Takde line tepon. Nak bercuti dalam hutan kan, so what do you expect? So instead of bergayut & surf internet, nikmati je lah suasana yang ada.

Cons:
  • Dari parking lot ke chalet agak jauh. No bellboy. Tiada troli disediakan.
Resort tu pun tak besar sangat, 1 jam dah abis jalan. So for 3d2n mati kutu gak lah.
  • The main drawback of the resort - the chalet is very basic & mediocre for RM200 per nite. There's no fridge, chair & table inside the chalet. Tu takpe lagi. There's even no electric kettle or complimentary mineral water & towel provided. There was breakfast for 2 but according to Kakty who went for breakfast on the 1st morning we were there, only tea & nasi lemak was served. Tu pun tak sedap. So on the 2nd morning, nobody among us interested to use the breakfast coupon.

Overall the place is quite ok. Cuma sebab bilik tak best, so kurang selesa. Nak psiko diri supaya bertahan for 2 nites, anggap aje lah aktiviti perkhemahan di tepi sungai cara mewah - ada katil, bilik beraircond & ada bilik air. For those yang teringin nak mandi sungai, I'd still recommend this place tapi stay 1 malam cukup lah. I'd suggest chalet Tempua, Kasawari or Kenari sebab dekat dengan sungai.

Morning walk di dalam resort.

Pregnancy & I

Alhamdulillah, so far me & baby are doing fine. Fetal growth is normal, so does my 'growth' I guess =P. A few weeks ago, I determined to write the experience of being pregnant. Now that I have less than half way to go, I don't know how & from where to start.

When I found out that I'm pregnant, the 1st concern was nak checkup & bersalin kat mana?? I think these 2 are related to each other. I prefer to do the antenatal checkup at the place that I'm gonna deliver my baby.

For the 1st 2 checkups (5 & 8 weeks), I went to Annur. However, I have no plan to deliver at Annur, sebab tu lah kene decide awal2 nak bersalin kat mana. I'm afraid, as time goes by, I'd feel comfortable at Annur, malas nak fikir dah & decide to deliver my baby there. Not that Annur is a bad place for delivering... just that I wanna keep my option open. Lagipun, somehow D prefer if I deliver the baby at a 'real' hospital.

Coincidently, KTy mentioned about reading there is a private wing at Hospital Putrajaya (HPJ). Being the nearest hospital from my home & offers private service... I couldn't ask for more. So, after googling for the info (which is not many), I decided to deliver under FPP (Full Paying Patient) scheme.

Under the FPP scheme, GL tak laku. Bayar sendiri macam swasta. Somehow I feel at this 'age' & for the 1st baby, I don't wanna take risk on having to deal with an unpredictable service/treatment (or I just being ngengada :P). For the 1st experience of delivering a baby, I'm hoping for a good one. Well, kita manusia hanya mampu merancang. So, for me this scheme is like a fair solution between government & private. Back to the FPP scheme, I can choose my own obstetrician. There are 4 (2 female & 2 male) to choose from & I chose Dr.Hamidah (DH). Instead of going to KK, I have my antenatal checkup at O&G dept of HPJ.

I guess memang rezeki kot. The 1st time I had an antenatal checkup there, actually I just wanted to know more about the scheme & set an appointment to meet the doc. The nurse called DH to set the appointment. Turned out DH wanted to meet me that day. For the 1st visit, as a new case I had to pay RM110.

Every checkup we have to scale our weight, take blood pressure & urine test. Then the doc will consult us & perform a detailed scan of the baby. Of course, I guess like other mommies-to-be, I love the scanning part. It's like a meet-up session with my unborn baby :).

So far I only have to wait maximum for about 1 & 1/2 hours compare to Annur where I had to wait for like 3 hours to meet the doc. Pagi tadi paling sekejap, 1/2 jam je. Being under the FPP scheme, we have the privilege to cut the queue ;). In term of the charges, I think FPP is cheaper compare to Annur. However, I think the scanning machine at Annur is more high-end. I can't compare with the government standard procedure such as checkup at KK because I've never been to one for antenatal checkup.

Talking about cutting the queue, during the 2nd visit, I was a bit blur of the procedure. I went to the O&G counter directly but the nurse asked me to take a number 1st (dengan muka kerek). I was like, what number?? Somehow yang dia tau under FPP pun kene amik nombor kat kaunter pendaftaran. Nurse baru kot. Sabar je lah. Actually instead of going thru the standard procedure like queuing to take the number for registering, wait for your number to be called at the registeration counter, then only you'll get the number to meet the doc; just directly go to the counter 2, tell the staff that you're under FPP scheme, register & make the payment at the same counter.

If I'm not mistaken there are 12 executive rooms provided but only 6 are dedicated for maternity. Nak bersalin nanti kene bayar deposit RM3k.

Ok, panjang dah ni. Nanti sambung lagi.
