A Special Day For Mothers

Tomorrow is a mother's day. I guess now everybody understands that as Muslims it's ok to celebrate the day, with intention to make our mothers happy.

Now, I'm a mother of 2. A mother to a 2.5 years old toddler & a 6 months old baby, both girls.

Ok today is Mother's Day. Yup I wrote the above paragraphs yesterday & somehow distracted & abandoned the drafted post.

Let's continue...

I meant to make a sweet post especially regarding my mother & all moms generally. But I guess, I'm not so in poetic mode right now, that I don't have enough words to describe how special Mak is. She is indeed. Despite her flaws, I wish I could be half she is. Cook a delicious home made meals for my children, always ensure the house is tidy & organize, wash the laundry & fold all the clothes, & the most important thing - support & always be there for my children. If I'm able to do that, without ashame I'd claim myself a supermom.

We maybe not supermoms, but I believe we mothers are superwomen. No matter how tired we are with the office work, we still come home, forget the tiredness & attend to our children's needs. There's no such thing like leave-me-alone-I-wanna-rest. For stay-at-home moms, you raise the children yourself, all of your time is dedicated to your children even if you're sick, but never get bored. Salute to you.

To all women who long to be mothers, but haven't had the opportunity (yet), maybe you're single or married with no children, hang in there, keep on praying. The time will come & it'll be the best time. Have faith. After all, the long itself makes you a mother inside.
